More Than 19 Million Square Feet of Warehouse Space is Going up in D-FW

 

North Texas' booming industrial building market shows no sign of a slowdown so far in 2018. Warehouse and distribution tenants net leased almost 4 million square feet of additional Dallas-Fort Worth space in the first quarter, according to a new report by CBRE. Most of the industrial leasing was in the Arlington-Grand Prairie area, in North Fort Worth and new DFW International Airport.

Increasing Houston Industrial Activity Pushes New Construction Outward

 

The continued strength of Houston's northwest and southeast industrial submarkets – as well as those submarkets' increasing density – means that developers will likely be forced to build in Houston's outer areas. The movement of new industrial projects in the city's northwest and southwest corners – as developers can only build so far southeast before hitting Port Houston – might mirror the rooftops that are cropping up further and further away from Houston's inner core, CBRE's Q1 industrial report states.
