Real Change at Arndale Manchester
We Are The Arndale
Friday 8th - Saturday 9th July
A new partnership has been developed with local charity Real Change MCR, which supports people who are homeless or rough sleeping in Manchester.

The partnership was launched during a marketing event on 8th & 9th July to celebrate the Centre’s new brand campaign, We Are The Arndale. Visitors to the event were encouraged to donate money in return for watching and getting involved in a live art project, raising awareness of the Charity’s activities. 
Retail Engagement
Buddy Bench Donation in Guildford
The Friary Guildford has donated Buddy Benches to local schools.

On Monday 11th July the team at The Friary visited Pewley Down School and St Nicolas’ CE Infant School to see the beautiful buddy benches that we donated in support of Mental Health Awareness Week.

Both schools were really pleased and extremely grateful for them. We even managed to get them produced in the schools colours!
The Army Return to Parc Trostre
The team at Parc Trostre continue to have monthly visits from the Army reserves to promote recruitment.

The Army hand out information, answer questions about what life is like in the reserves and if interested what people need to do to apply.
Youth Theatre at Fremlin Walk
After losing their rehearsal space we were approached by the Hazlitt Institute to help provide a space for rehearsals.

The team at Fremlin Walk are allowing the institute to use one of our vacant units for free to allow them to rehearse for their upcoming performance.
Careers Advice from the NHS
Culver Square hosted a careers roadshow supporting public services and charity organisations to connect with the public.

This provided an opportunity for the public to volunteer their time in support of our local charities or start a new career within the NHS.
Fundraising at Festival park
The team at Festival Park held a fundraising day to raise money for a great cause.

Money was raised for the City’s aim to purchase necessary bleed kits. They received great feedback from the organisers.
The Wrong Trousers at Cribbs
The team at Cribbs supported The Grand Appeal, Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity with their Wrong Trousers Day campaign. This charity campaign invites people to wear ‘the wrong trousers’ on Friday 1st July in exchange for a charity donation. We got into the spirit wearing ski pants on the Cribbs beach…..don’t think that will catch on!

As part of the campaign, Cribbs were invited to share a post as one of 25 local partners.
National Days & Events
Wimbledon Comes to Maidenhead
To mark Wimbledon fortnight the team at TOR organised a table tennis competition to get their customers outside enjoying the sun.
Guide Dogs Bring Calm to Central Square
Guide Dogs Association have returned to Central Square Leeds. Their visit is welcomed by many of the customers who enjoy spending time with the dogs and learning more about the great work they provide for non and partially sighted people.
Competition Time at Forbury Place
One of Forbury Place’s tenants has kindle provided a table tennis to no 2. It’s created a way for teams to compete to become the overall champion of the bat.

Customers have really engaged with the tournament and it might become a regular feature.
Handmade Jewellery at Minster Court
The team at Minster Court hosted a pop-up from a local jeweler who was showcasing their many wonderful handmade items.
 
It was really well received and they’ve agreed to return in October.
Leeds Welcomes Wimbledon
The team at Central Square Leeds distributed some flavoured waters and energy drinks which were provided by Work Perks.
The giveaways were part of creating awareness for Wimbledon and other sporting tournaments in July.
Incident Management Training in Holborn
The security team at Holborn Bars, led by Security Manager Spasoja Sam Rajnovic were recently put through their paces during incident management training.

The training consisted of how to deal with suspect packages, marauding terrorist attacks and bomb threats.   
Leeds BID Continues at Central Square
The team at Central Square were delighted to host Leeds BID again for a weeklong festival of fun and games.
 
The campaign has been greatly received by the customers and is another example of the close integration between the property and the FM team.
Smoothie Cycling at TOR
The team at TOR hosted a smoothie cycling initiative to mark Tour De France, the recycled water bottle campaign as well as wellbeing.
 
Customer were able to learn about nutrition while using a smoothie powered by cycle power. A great initiative.
Two Snowhill Reward Their Cyclists
The team at Two Snowhill rewarded their customers who cycled to work.

Each cyclist received a recycled water bottle. Each bottle is made from plastics reclaimed from the ocean and is part of an M&G wide ESG campaign being led by Rikki Teml.
Community Workshop
The Engagement and Community Teams held their third workshop at the Arndale in Manchester on 29th July.
 
We were joined by John McHugh and Tracey Waddacor from CBRE’s Place Making and Community Team.
 
During the session we explored creating EPIC Events and You’re A Star Awards.
Water Bottle Campaign
We have now finished our sixth week of ESG inspired events where we've distributed recycled water Bottles.

Thank you so much for all for your support, we achieved an amazing 636 completed surveys - smashing our 400 target, well done to everyone who helped complete surveys and manage events.

We will publish the results soon.
