A pharmacy company with stores across the country plans to open its 60th location in Hawaii next month.

CVS Health-owned CVS Pharmacy plans to open a new location in Kapolei in early December, according to representatives of the company in an email to Pacific Business News.

The new pharmacy, which will be the company's 60th in Hawaii, will be located at 91-5480 Kapolei Parkway, confirmed Matt Blanchette, senior manager of retail communications for CVS Pharmacy, by email.

"We offer thousands of products, including over-the-counter medications, beauty items, and better-for-you food options, and deliver innovative health solutions that create a simpler, more accessible experience for patients, customers and caregivers," Blanchette said.

Representatives of CVS Health declined to share the cost of the buildout.

More than 20 people will work at the store, Blanchette said.

CVS does not currently have plans to open a location in Downtown Honolulu, confirmed company representatives. The company closed its CVS Health-owned Longs Drugs at 841 Bishop St., on the ground floor of Davies Pacific Center, in April of 2022.
