In Cooperation with Erae AMS
POSCO International said on Oct. 13 it will supply auto parts for electric vehicles to Vietnam's Vinfast Corp. The company has won the order along with Erae AMS, Korea's leading auto parts maker.
A halfshaft acts as a driving shaft in a battery electric vehicle (BEV). POSCO International plans to start supplying its products in 2021 after detailed adjustments and tests. The supply volume is for about 100,000 electric vehicles to be produced by Vinfast.
It is the first time for POSCO International to supply auto parts to Vinfast, which is Vietnam's first producer of finished automobiles established by Vietnam's largest private company, Vin Group.
POSCO Inernational’s halfshaft will be used for Vinfast's first electric cars. Erae AMS specializes in producing parts for driving, braking and steering systems. POSCO International and Erae AMS have laid the foundation for expanding their businesses in Vietnam.
