“The devastation that we have seen from the recent wildfires is tragic, and our thoughts are with the people of Maui, including our many team members who live and work on the island,” said Mark Wang, president and CEO of Hilton Grand Vacations.

Hilton Grand Vacations has provided nearly $500,000 to support Maui community relief efforts, team members, first responders, displaced residents, and more, the global timeshare company announced recently.

The company has committed a minimum of $250,000 in direct emergency grants to impacted team members, is offering temporary housing at its properties to dozens of employees and first responders assisting with relief efforts, and is serving three meals a day to more than 100 team members and families, according to the announcement.

I spent over 25 years living and working on the islands, and I’ve witnessed firsthand the resilience of Hawaii’s people in the face of adversity.” ​ ​

Hilton Grand Vacations has also donated more than $35,000 in supplies including personal hygiene products, food and baby formula. It has contributed $50,000 to Hawaii Community Foundation's Maui Strong Fund and Aloha United Way's Maui Fire Relief Fund, and has secured $9,500 in donations from team members in support of local nonprofits helping those impacted by the Maui wildfires, as noted in the announcement.

The company is also encouraging members to make a one-time gift of up to 3,000 points until Sept. 22. Each point gifted will be matched by Hilton Grand Vacations and be used to provide accommodation to first responders, employees and their families. So far, nearly 1.1 million points have been gifted by nearly 500 club members, according to the announcement.
