This year’s honorees in Pacific Business News’ Fastest Growing Companies saw revenue growth ranging from 15% to an impressive 822.67%. That’s over a three-year period from 2020 to 2022. We’re grateful to the participating businesses for opening their books to us and to our accounting partner, Spire Hawaii, for verifying their financial statements.
Perhaps not surprisingly, we see businesses in industries that were practically shut down in 2020, but largely reopened in 2022 like No. 1, Events International, Inc., for example. Tour companies and accommodations are in here, too. However, no one industry dominates the list. Businesses owners in all sectors have managed to grow.
Congratulations to all our Fastest Growing Companies! I especially want to acknowledge our Maui businesses. Some are here because they had just fought their way back from the Covid-19 shutdowns, only to have the Lahaina wildfire set them back. Two with operations in and around Lahaina — Coconut Condos and Tropic Water – have been severely impacted, though fortunately with no loss of life. We hope we continue to see them in the feature in the years to come as they recover.
