To supplement the successful European Data Centres MarketView quarterly report that CBRE have been running since 2001, the Data Centre Transaction Management team are holding another breakfast round-table to discuss the dominance in the Hyper-scale cloud take up.
Meeting of minds breakfast meeting, third in a series hosted by CBRE and Mark Bailey of Charles Russell Speechlys who will be adding the “sense to the sizzle” – this is not a one way presentation but a free flowing interactive session where everyone can get their thoughts across.
The questions we will be tabling are…
Q: Is hyper-scale so big in Europe that there is nothing else left to invest in?
Q: Does the cloud need a big geographical audience?
Q; Will the UK survive impending Government legislation or will Dublin, Amsterdam and Frankfurt take it all?
Q: Why have some of the big cloud boys started to lose some of their clients to a self-performing model. Is there an inflection point where hyper-scale models just don’t make sense?
What are your thoughts?
The breakfast will explore the market dynamics across Europe and explore where next. We have invited an equal number of data centre builders, operators, users and investors so we are sure this will resonate and make for an interesting breakfast.
