Black Excellence Producer Cohort

Our Purpose:
  • Encourage and promote business and deal opportunities for Black Excellence Producer Cohort members
  • Provide a communication network among Black Excellence Producers within CBRE
  • Provide organizational and developmental support to Black Excellence Producer Cohort members
  • Further the professional development and expertise of Black Excellence Producer Cohort members through educational opportunities
  • Acknowledge and publicly promote the deals and accomplishments of Black Producers in the field of commercial real estate within CBRE
 
Who is Eligible:
Any Black Producer within The Americas is eligible to join this cohort; that is, anyone who currently serves in the capacity of Producer, in any business line. It is not mandatory to be a member of the Black Excellence EBRG, but we do encourage you to join! Please find buttons at the bottom of the page for eligible Black Producers to click to join the cohort, as well as joining the CBRE Black Excellence EBRG, if you're not already a member.
 
Our Origin:
The Black Excellence Producer Cohort was born out of the Capital Markets Associate Program (CMAP) Conference held in Denver in April 2022. This in-person conference provided an opportunity for Producers across business lines in North America to connect, collaborate, refine their skills, network, and engage with leadership.

What was noticeable at the conference was a limited number of Black participants. Amber Coleman, Christina Searles, John Moten, and Adrian Sam, all attendees and participants of the 2022 CMAP Conference, felt that a group formed by Black professionals and serving Black Producers would be helpful in supporting the growth of our business.
 
The Black Excellence Producer Cohort is currently made up of ±35 Broker Professionals in Occupier, Advisory & Transaction, Investment Sales, and Debt & Structured Finance business lines within The Americas. This group is an extension of the Black Excellence EBRG, with goals including, but not limited to: establishing a deal-sharing network, identifying opportunities for professional growth through training, and establishing best practices through mentoring and mentorship. The goal will be to ensure that Black Producers develop and increase production and, ultimately, contribute to CBRE's revenue growth.
